蒂莫西海灘度假村(Timothy Beach Resort)

This is an older resort, but it is still a gem. If you look hard enough, you can find flaws, but I would stay here time and time again. It is more affordable than most places on the island. It is located on the beach/ocean. Best of all, it is across the street from the famous *****. This is where all of the fun happens. Good music, food and drinks. Great for families and couples. I loved it and we will be back.

Our fourth visit, but the first in 4 years. We’d forgotten how lovely it is! The views from the balcony of our one bedroom suite were amazing! My favourite times of day were having breakfast on the balcony in the morning, and then watching the sun go down over the sea in the evening. The location can’t be beaten. Right on a nice sandy beach, on-site restaurant and bar, lots of bars and restaurants on the *****, and a 10-15 minute walk to a minimart. There’s a bigger supermarket another 5 minutes further on. The rooms haven’t changed much. There was new furniture in the bedroom, and the bed was very comfortable. Maybe the bathroom and kitchen cupboards are looking a bit tired now, but it was well equipped, everything was clean and the appliances worked fine. We much prefer the traditional Caribbean style to posh resort hotels. The staff were very friendly, and we recognised quite a few from past visits. We were able to have a late checkout at the end of the week I had been a bit worried about the nearby construction but it wasn’t much of a problem. On the plus side, the beach has been improved, and there’s a nice wide area of sand now, with easier access in and out of the water. It’s sad from a snorkelling perspective that the rocks and reef directly by the hotel have been lost to the new marina, but a couple of additional rocky breakwaters have been added along the beach and I was pleasantly surprised by the number of fish there. A staff member put sunbeds and umbrellas out as required for hotel guests, and there was no issue with non guests using them. Unusually for us, we spent more time on the beach than by the pool. The pool is great but it was very hot up there last week! For most of the week there was no construction noise at all. The current building work is right at the top of the hill so you can’t hear anything. However, on our last full day they decided to tarmac the new road that has been cut into the hill directly behind the hotel. It wasn’t too bad inside the room, but it was noisy on the balcony. It was fine on the beach and they stopped at 4pm. It was quiet again the following day as they’d finished the road. Worrying about noise won’t put us off going back, and I wish we hadn’t left it so long. Hopefully we’ll be able to go back again next year!

We have stayed here many times pre-COVID. Upon check-in we were required to have our passports photocopied. Had we know this we would not have booked our stay here. There was no reason given. The one bedroom suite had an extra bed stored in the living area which we got removed the next day. The room was not super clean, lizard droppings under the bed, glass table and fridge looked like it had been wiped with a dirty rag. In the past the rooms were cleaner and smelled cleaner. We were required to check out at noon with a flight 6.5 hours later. There was no hospitality suite available only a locked public washroom. The property has large rooms with large balconies offering a beautiful view, the pool is quiet and it is a great location. The pool lounge chairs have no cushions and the towels are small and thin. It is overpriced for the limited amenities.

Fantastic location, hotel room a little tired, but what a lovely view of the Caribbean. Laurel on reception was amazing. Had an issue with our shower which was sorted by the end of the day. She was always so willing to go out of her way to help. All the staff were really friendly. Raoul in the Dock bar was also great, always professional and helpful. Fave eating places were Boozies ( shout out to the lovely Leroy) and Cathy,s. Also Marshall’s at top of hill worth a visit. Ps. Plug sockets are 2 pin flat. Google does not tell you that!

Dear Laurel and Team Both my mom and I would like to thank you all so much for making our vacation one of the most relaxing and best we have shared …we really enjoyed our 2 week stay at Timothy Beach Resort on the Island of St. Kitts we simply loved the warmth of the locals, it felt like home!! and the beauty of the island is outstanding everywhere you look it’s a beautiful site to see! Especially the sunsets each night from our deck! The food at the resort was awesome, we enjoyed the Mahi Mahi & Salmon dinners they were good prices and very yummy! We enjoyed day trips to Nevis Island, and the train tour of St. Kitts was very informative and fun too such a wonderful rich history. We look forward to returning again soon!!🙏💕💞🌼

We went to Timothy Beach resort at easter and paid what we felt was a very low price for a Caribbean Easter break so were slightly skeptical about what the hotel would be like, however we were so impressed. We booked a suite which was definitely worth the extra few £100, the living and kitchen space was plenty for 2 people, bed was huge, there was lots of storage for clothes (2 big wardrobes) and plenty of storage in the kitchen and bathroom. The balcony was big, it had a table and chairs on it and 2 sun beds, it also has a great view. Air conditioning was amazing, it was so cool in our rooms. All staff were incredibly friendly and would happily do anything for you. We never once had a negative experience with any of the staff. The pool was nice, sometimes it felt like it hadn’t always been cleaned properly, and did only have 4 parasols so if you like shade then the pool might not always have it. There were plenty of sun beds at the pool and beach and we never found we were left without one. The hotel restaurant was nice, although slightly more expensive to others on the *****. The hotel is located next to “the *****” which is a series of beach bars/restaurants along the cost. There was plenty here to choose from for a 2 week break without getting bored of food options. Most restaurants were nice! There was just one we weren’t keen on.

We returned to Timothy Beach resort and it did not disappoint., it was still fabulous. The accommodation is virtually on the beach, sunsets are amazing, snorkelling was great, bars, food and shops are easily within walking distance. It has a very friendly relaxed feel and all the staff are so helpful. The main staff we came across were brilliant, laurel the office manager, Melvin and Craig part of the maintenance team and Sunita our house keeper. They could not have done any more for us, they were kind and often preempted our needs. Timothy Beach resort is full of Caribbean charm, we love it !!

Loved Timothy Beach Resort! The only resort located on the Caribbean side. The beach was stunning and we even had a dolphin visit the beach! The location is perfect, near “the *****” full of restaurants and many other restaurants and supermarkets only a 10 minute walk away. The resort is well maintained and the staff was kind and helpful. We had an ocean view room without a kitchen, but it did have a little fridge, a coffee maker and a kettle. The rooms were basic and decorated like a retiree’s Florida condo in the 80s, but the room was big, had ample storage and a giant patio. It was quaint and retro and I really loved the feel of the place. The only downside of our stay was the beds. They seemed to be new, as the mattress was in good condition, but they were very, very hard. We both woke up every morning hurting and stiff. I would return in a heart beat because everything else was perfection and the price is right, but my partner cannot take the hard beds that left us feeling broken.
