This hotel is terrible. The front desk sent us to a building next door, the condition way worse than the main building. Never visit again! Not recommended!

Clean room, plenty parking space, and reasonable price including breakfast

We booked a room here with a lake view and a couch and ended up with neither. They gave us a room that had not been cleaned after the previous guests. I went to the front desk and they said all they could offer was a downgraded room. Same price. Smaller room. No couch. A view into the windows of other rooms. We had to repair the blinds to deal with that. There was no hot water that night. Woke up early aching from the bed, but at least there was hot water for the time being. Showered and went to check out. Told them about not having hot water the night before and she said she could see it happening in the other building but not the one we were in. Guess that’s an ok standard for this hotel. They assumed no responsibility for anything and said I’d have to take it up with *******.

This property is dated and run-down, website pictures probably depict when the property was built. Very disappointing customer service, we were to stay for 4 nights, turned down a pet friendly room and were offered a room on the 3rd floor. The carpet had multiple stains, furniture was not dusted, windows very dirty, and a peculiar smell in room. The air conditioner was loud as was the sound of trucks going by all night. We stayed for one night and canceled the other three and headed back to Calgary as there were limited vacancies in the area. This was a very disappointing trip, the bistro was closed in the evening, and breakfast was also a disappointment. We would not recommend this property!

Unfortunately one of their hot water tanks failed so we had to stay in the main building in a room that had old mattresses- too soft for us so we checked out the next day / desk manager was very professional and helpful - had stayed there years ago and room was excellent

Shower head/water pressure not strong enough to wash hair. Air conditioner in wall was too small for room, was extremely noisy. Staff at check in were not welcoming and showed the same lack of respect to my kids when they went to the front desk for pool towels. Sadly we have previously enjoyed. Not sure if we will be back

This property needs a proper dissection in a review because some aspects are spectacular and some are terrible. Pros: Pool area, Breakfast, Accesibitly to services, Parking was amazing. No complaints there at all. If you are planning on a quick get-away to a pool area with good breakfast in the morning, this is your place (especially if you are coming in with a family with kids). HOWEVER, please do not gloss over the cons. Cons: Room that we got was terrible. It smelled sour and old during our whole stay. We could not figure out what the smell was but it was definitely not good sleeping experience. The sheets are worn out, beds are on their last few months of life. The floor look clean but I am very doubtbul of its actual cleanliness. I would not reccomend to stay here more than one night at all. The only reason I would even reccomend one night is you want to experience the pool. Get in & get out fast, dont stick around. I would not reccomend this place to my family at all.

Ive atayed at Hilltop before. For sure one of the best features is the incredible resort like pool. The rooms are clean and tidy. Ataff are lovely. A dip in the pool and then the hot tub makes for a perfect end to a long drive
