莫諾特爾飯店(Monotel)

We visited this property on March this year for a one night stay at this hotel.Its located in Salt Lake sector 5 in kolkata,in the heart of the city.But the rooms are very small and messy and the room service was also very very slow.Not at all a place where you want to spend your money.Avoid coming here and go for ibis or lemon tree instead.

This one is our first choice for hotel option, In Bidhannagar Kolkata, due to the best co-operation of each and every team member of hotel. The room and the hotel atmosphere is also very good. Specially the FOM Dip Roy is very co-operative with Guest.

Great location. 20 minutes from the airport. Nice neighborhood. Easy access to Park Street. Clean and well maintained. Very helpful staff and great service by Soumita! Will definitely come back again!

Terrible would be a good adjective to define the service. The front office staff have kept true to the city spirit of being rude and uncouth. Have stayed across Luxury hotels to Budgets across continents. But this hotel front office staff had trumped hospitality sector. Guys like Diptenjoy Roy requires training( the guy says in a rude and arrogant way " customers are wrong, most times") Funnily, there's IIHM hospitality Institute in adjoining building. Seriously ***agement has good scope of improvement in training. However few staff in there restaurant, in-room dining were good. Overall rooms are okay. The beds was good and comfortable. Location is very good in Saltlake. Housekeeping has scope of improvement. The AC ducts needs good scrubbing, will just improve the cooling effectiveness. Food was good. Hence with the few good exceptions I have given 1 star.

We went for business trip at monotel & we are just felt in love with place, food ,people everything was top notch and everyone was so attentive. Thanks Soumita from room service for taking care .Great future ahead to you. We will visit again.Thank you.

Nice room cleaning service provided by Mr Sayan Sonkar.Safe and happy place like home. Would suggest other colleagues and family members to come and have stay. Decent interior and swimming pool. Gym is also good

This is a hotel that is marked by contradictions. Location is good, equidistant between Salt Lake and New Town. The premises is good, and rooms are well constructed and reasonably spacious. The public areas a adequate with a spacious lobby, if a trifle kitsch. Having said that, a few problems were noticed in a 5-nights stay at the hotel. Foremost is the issue that all hotels face and few are able to overcome: cleaning. While the average cleanliness is fine, one cannot ignore the complete lack of effort at removing spots in the shower area and tiles. Same goes for the cup marks on tables, ***y owing to an absence of coasters. Linen is washed and changed regularly but nowhere close to the pristine standard expected. In fact, frayed bedlinen was noticed more than a few times. Bed is comfortable but pillows leave a lot to be desired. Some of the maintenance issues may be traced to the poor training of staff, something that extends to the restaurant and coffee shop. Wait staff is plentiful and enthusiastic but poorly trained. Each meal I had was marked by my place having cleared while I had gone to refill from the buffet. The regularity of such occurrence is both irritating and frankly, unprofessional, making the guest feel quite unwelcome. Coming to food served — breakfast and dinner — it is just adequate with little to write home about. One peculiar facet of the stay in this hotel is the AC shutting down with unnerving regularity each night. A call to the reception restores the AC but waking up each night in sweat since the AC has shut down does not augur for a restful sleep.

Meghnath Majhi is very good for his service room cleaning done with nice way,timely and punctual in his work, behaviour is also good, Response is also fast. Kindly take his service if u visit this hotel.Monotel hotel also very well to visit.
