Me encantó, el ambiente super agradable, super seguro, perfecto para ir solo, con amigos o en familia. Muchas variedad de habitaciones para elegir. Con supermercados y todo muy cerca. Lo recomiendo al 100%

So noisy barely slept a wink. Even after 10 pm when supposed to be quiet. The front desk staff are useless and didn’t tell me when I needed to meet my tour group. Really basic accommodation. Only 1 shower working when the place is full. If I hadn’t been with a tour group I’d have gone and stayed elsewhere.

Nice a**osphere, welcoming, quiet, kitchen and restaurant available. Close to a noisy train line but overall a good location.

First of all...if you can avoid San Jose, then it is imperative you do, otherwise, yes - this is probably the best backpacker trio you can find - meaning, the street only contains pretty much three adjacent buildings, which are all operated by the same business partnership and consequently the facilities are interchangeable and can be utilised by all. Costa Rica Backpackers has a kitchen, a bar and a restaurant from 17:00-21/22:00, free luggage storage, and free ear plugs. There is hot water too and a pool. Lights and sound generally has to go out completely at 22:30. The place is very busy and you likely will not be able to extend your booking for the next day, some times, the next few days. The staff are fine and card is accepted without fees. I don't have too many qualms to be honest. The beds/pillow did smell unpleasant though - that would be it I guess. You really don't have any better options for backpacker accommodation for the price paid in San Jose. WiFi was good too.

We had the Twin Bedroom in the basement. It was big enough for two people, but a new Mattress would be nice. The price was good, what the hostel offers. So for a short stay for a few days to arrive to Costa Rica we can recommend it.

As I selected above plus the molds and stint as you enter the room is something of a migraine. Stay away even if you are on strict budget it’s not worth the migraine and the rudeness of the local staff especially the guy who manages the place

Good hostel for short and cheap stay. Good reception staff and reception hours. The quality of the room and the furnitures arent great. Also, the toilets are limited.
