Very clean and well kept place. Good breakfast, nice staff. Waterfront sauna was nice, for extra 10€ fee thoug. Place is not far from Savonlinna so it is suitable for longer stay, if you want to visit places like Olavinlinna or just travel around.

This place was awesome. It's located about 15 minutes outside the city. Very pretty property with free canoeing available. Rooms and service were great. The breakfast was light but delicious. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Wir waren im Juli 2022 für fünf Tage in Lomamokkila. Die Ruhe und die Natur, welche wir dort und in der Umgebung hatten, waren unbeschreiblich schön. Das Ehepaar Björn ist sehr freundlich und wir hatten das Gefühl, dass beide zum einen sehr am Wohl, als auch an den Gästen selbst interessiert sind. Laura Björn begann sogar plötzlich mit uns Deutsch zu sprechen. Wir konnten viele interessante Fakten über Finnland und die Region Savonlinna bei Gesprächen mitnehmen. Die Sauberkeit sowohl in den Gasthäusern als auch im Haupthaus, in dem das wirklich fabelhafte Frühstück und Abendessen serviert wird, ist vorbildlich. Im See, welcher ca. 1 km vom Hof der Familie entfernt liegt, ist es möglich sich kostenlos Ruderboote zu leihen und damit den See zu erkunden. Wer Ruhe, freundliche Gastgeber, gutes Essen und eine tolle Umgebung sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn wir, vielleicht schon im nächsten Jahr, wieder Gäste in Lomamokkila sein können. Vielleicht können wir bis dahin etwas besser finnisch .

One of the nicest places we stayed in Finland, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Friendly and helpful family.  A really cool lakefront sauna was available (for a small reasonable fee), which we sadly didn't use. The property is clean, and beautifully appointed. Very quiet.

We loved Lomamokkila. I stayed there with my family for four nights. We had two cottage rooms and room 3 in the main house. I stayed in room 3, which overlooked one of the farm’s fields, where the long-haired cows grazed in the morning mist. The room itself was light-filled, with high ceilings and simple but elegant furnishings. The owners were lovely, accommodating our late arrival and offering helpful advice. Lomamokkila is situated in a dreamy halcyon spot a short drive outside Savonlinna. If you are a cyclist, it would be a perfect spot to stay and explore the many backroads of the Lake District. And if you are in Savonlinna for the opera festival, staying at Lomamokkila is perfect. If you don’t have a car, they can help arrange a taxi for you. The food served and the dining areas are perfect. Swimming and row boating on the lake was divine. We had the lake to ourselves and enjoyed skinny dipping amongst the lily pads. Altogether a very pleasant experience in this enchanting part of Finland. Would happily return.

The owners are a nice couple who are extremely helpful. Really nice breakfast. Nice and quiet place. Easy parking.

It is a nice place to stay, friendly staffs. Foods are great.

A lovely place with lovely family Björn hosting. Clean lake nearby for swimming and fishing. Easy acces to opetafestival in Savonlinna by a cheap taxi. Lovely homy breakfast. Here I come again every year.
