沙堡飯店(Sand Castle Inn)

기본적으로 깨끗하며 적당히 관리 되고 있다는 느낌이다. 비누며 샴푸등도 잘 구비되어있고 가성비가 좋은 숙박시설이다. 위치는 별로 내세울것은 없지만 1번 도로근방이며 근처에 몬터레이가 있어 볼것또한 많다

Nice Inn on the road from LA to San Francisco. Room was quite big, clean and nice decorated. Staff was friendly. Not far away from the beach and also some supermarkets neaby.

The rooms look renovated, which makes it cleaner and inviting. The check-in process was great, and they accepted cats (for a $45 fee), which was lovely! The three things I'd recommend is an extra blanket in the room, a bag for the ice bucket, and and in room 114 the front part of the AC vents rattles loudly. Otherwise, Id stay here again. The location is also good as its close to stores and restaurants.

There's nothing super special about this place, but in a world where we literally walked away from 2 of our last 3 rentals, it's a joy to see a place that is simply well-run in every way. Not a single thing was broken or missing, bed was good, shower was good, price was great, wifi worked great. Also, top notch Italian eatery (Gusto) is right next door. This is how motels are supposed to work!

Easy parking yet hotel wasn't booked, had extra if they were to get full. #1 right off the bat is room was clean, no guessing about stuff was clean. Some items need updating like the faucet , but still worked. Not a lot of room in the room but how much more do you really need can walk around beds and to Tv and such. I like the place not a chain not a lot of extras tossed at you and so on. Big bonus was hey CostCo is a blook or so away~ got some microwave food and saw someone had a pizza aka the $10 special. Convenient. Took a drive for scuba Certification took all of 10minutes on into Monterey, why pay more?

We really enjoyed this little motel. The owner was friendly, the room was nice, the bed was very comfortable, and the motel had all amenities we needed for a nice stay. Being eco-conscious, an added bonus was that this was the first stay in the US that had a separate recycle bin in the room. Going to downtown Monterey was an easy 10- to 15-minutes drive, with lots of parking opportunities. The motel felt safe, was clean and quiet, despite being fully booked.

Overall, if you’re just going to need to stay overnight, this place will do the job. However, I wouldn’t want to stay for more than one night. The man at the front desk was very friendly and made a good first impression. The AC did not work but it wasn’t that big of a deal fortunately. The vent in the AC was extremely dirty. The room smelled clean, the bed was clean, the furniture and appliances were clean. The toilet and tub were clean. I could hear the person in the room next to me on the phone but thankfully it got quieter after dark. The room seemed secure. One thing I really did not like was the reusable toiletries. By that I mean the lotion and soap are all in refillable containers that were clearly worn and old because the paint was coming off of them. Ultimately, you get what you pay for so you can’t complain too much for the price. If you go cheaper you have to lower your expectations. Next time I would do so more research about this area. It appears safe but I did hear some loud bangs multiple times. My stars do not reflect the safety of the area. traveling alone, being a female and in my early twenties it did feel a little edgy and I wouldn’t stay overnight in the area again without researching if I were to go again.
