I really liked this place to stay and it’s in a perfect area for access to both downtown and good suburban shopping. The property felt very clean and well taken care of and the self check-in process worked well.
The only part that I found a little unsettling was when I walked in the front door a person who said that he rented a room there opened his room door and greeted me. I wasn’t sure if he was a manager or just a renter. The first thing he said was something about him being allowed to smoke outside the building and it smelled a bit like ****. As a first impression it left me questioning the professionalism and safety of the place especially since it is not a commercial establishment and it’s in a quiet neighborhood setting. It made me wonder if I would recommend it if my wife were staying there alone. Granted, the interaction was friendly, it was just a little odd that the first topic of conversation was about smoking, which was irrelevant to me or anything I was doing. It gave me the impression that he was trying to explain the odor or excuse something he was doing.
Also, I got a text that there was a gift waiting for me. When I went to my room there was an odd dollar store package of happy birthday items inside. Was that my gift? It would have been better to have no gift and not be confused by package
Bottom line: very good experience and I would stay there again. It wasn’t plush, but met my expectations of being a well taken care of place to stay.
