Excellent stay at the Garrison, small but perfectly functional room

Rooms are reasonably comfortable and clean though in need of a refurb. Breakfast is very average. If you stay here at the weekend be prepared for noisy parties. My impression is the hotel is prioritising these over non party guests. We went into the breakfast room after a noisy party on the Saturday night to find it looking very scuzzy. We had a booking in the restaurant on our first evening and I was emailed the day before to say they couldn’t honour it because of an event. Typical I’m afraid.This was my second stay. I won’t be staying again.

Far better than what I was expecting for the cost, spacious clean and comfortable room with a large bar and dining area, also the staff were great & the breakfast really enjoyable. If you're staying in Sheffield it's not in the centre but only a short tram journey away and definitely better value than anything in the town and a lot quieter as well.

The staff at the Garrison were incredibly accommodating to all my needs, & helpful at all times. The hotel itself is unique, & so well maintained that soon it will have a true retro vibe. Recommend especially if you are visiting, as I was to see Sheffield Wednesday.

The Garrison was unique a lovely hotel staff very friendly rooms clean the whole place was great i read someone moaned about the music at night well they have a lot of things going on there 60s night's Motown nights and they warn when you book music would be on till 12-30 we loved it went to motown night brilliant thanks for a great weekend

The hotel was excellent, the only problem was that ********** charged me £68 but I got an invoice from the hotel for £54. When I asked why there was a discrepancy in what I paid ********** and what they paid the hotel, i was told I paid the lowest price available.
Will definitely stay at the garrison hotel again! Amazing hotel, amazing service, will just book direct and save myself £14

It was ideally located for the Chris**as event we were attending at the Hillsborough Arena.
The facilities were excellent, parking convenient, breakfast was a nice bonus.

The room was nice with a bath and great value for money, the food in the bar was nice and the staff were very good. Reception booking in was also very good. A tram stop is just over the road and a McDonald’s directly outside. Will definitely return the next time we visit Sheffield.
