Houseboat Jewel in The Crown

We had wonderful experience in this houseboat. Food and ambience is great. Staff behaviour is pleasant and helpful. Felt like home. The view of the nigin lake from here is awesome. I totally recommend this place for your Kashmir trip. Must visit houseboat in Kashmir❣️

Staying at the Jewel in the Crown houseboat on Nigeen Lake was an unforgettable experience! The boat's luxurious amenities and breathtaking views truly make it a gem among houseboats. Mr. Avid, the caretaker, exemplified exceptional hospitality, ensuring our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. The peaceful surroundings of the boat made for a serene retreat. The boat's interior was elegant and well-maintained, adding to the charm of our stay. I highly recommend Jewel in the Crown to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing getaway in Srinagar.

Spacious room with luxury decor. We stayed in a luxury suite room. Professional, polite and very helpful bost ***ager. Food is also great. And on top of this, Nigeen lake is so calm and beautiful. We had the best view of snow mountains from the deck of the boat. You really feel that you are staying in a luxurious accommodation and you get what you pay for, in fact more.

The room is amazing. Terrace provides a view which makes you feel like you are in heaven. Mr.Aabid has been a great help and is very polite. The food is homelike and very tasty. The ambience is extraordinary. Everything makes you feel like home. Must visit👍

The staff was friendly and the boat was one of the best at the lake. Food was amazing and they had several options in vegetrian and non vegetarian . They also provided authentic saffron at a very reasonable rate. I would recommend this house boat anytime. Special thanks to Abid for making our stay memorable.

We were three veteran couples. We occupied three heritage rooms. The houseboat was well furnished. However, what surprised us most was the conduct of the caretaker Ishfaque. He is a smooth-talking, over-smart and unscruplous person. On the morning of our departure, he casually asked for the mobiles of two guests and typed out feedback without their permission. Apparently, he gave excellent rating. A highly dishonest ploy employed by him. He cleverly misappropriated large quantity of confectionary items brought for us by the tour operator. Worst, despite our express request for Kashmiri cuisine for dinner, he served routine chicken dish which also ran short. One has to be wary of the caretaker. In short, tourists should avoid this boat.

Jewel in the crown has amazing views and a great ambience. The balcony views are so serene. The rooms are comfortable and staff is quite helpful. The food was nice and they were able to accommodate special dinner requests. Wifi and other practical facilities have been looked into carefully by the owner.

Beautiful property & amazing hospitality by Mr. Abid. He put together a special candle lit dinner for us to make our honeymoon more special. This is an experience everyone must have at least once. An exceptional experience for everyone. Great job !
