Road work problem one way round . All cleaning and good service Menu for dinner two courses first night then second night repeat same menu disappointment , change different bar menu but charge £39 . We already booked dinner including with cost still we had to pay extra charge for second nights . Disability access is very limited . Our bedroom downstairs have a lot of steps no doubt they are awareness of deafness if fire alarm how let us know we are downstairs Spa are excellent facilities

The service was great! There was an error with room allocation and as the booked room was not available, we got upgraded to a suite which was wonderful as we were celebrating a special milestone birthday. The dinner at the Trevellyn Restaurant was beyond expectation as we were vegetarian and the vegetarian meal prepared by the chef was awesome. The hotel decor itself looked a little tired although it added to the authentic look of the listed building. It was a hot weekend during our stay and although there was no air conditioning, a small fan was provided which made a little difference when sleeping at night. The gardens needed some upkeep and it would have been lovely if the fountains had been working. Overall we did enjoy our stay and look forward to coming back again after it has gone through some upgrading and refurbishing.

It was just ok and didn't feel that luxurious considering the price point.

Lovely find, beautiful scenery and so quiet, just what we needed.

This hotel is beautiful but that’s where it ends. Understaffed they gave us a room nearly a ten min walk from the lobby with not one person to help. When trying to order food for dinner we were told the room is “too far for service” and that we would have to walking in the rain to the bar in the lobby order there (because they don’t take orders over the phone or on line) and then carry it back in the rain to our room. As if that wasn’t enough the fire alarm sounded off at 1 am, 2:20 am and again at 5:20 am. It was frightening for both the adults and kids and when we realized there was no danger and called the lobby they simply said they knew there was an issue with the alarm and they were sorry. The hotel is a half hour walk from anything and they have no shuttle service. Do not go to this hotel!!!

When you book a spa hotel you expect to be able to use the facilities. You also expect them to be clean. In both cases I was disappointed. When I booked, I was told that check in was 3pm however I could use the spa from 12. Upon arrival I was told that was no longer the case and I had to wait I til 3pm. My husband and I had to wait in a dreary bar area until our room was finally ready at 4pm. Four hours after arriving. The room was musty,had dirty windows, walls scraped and badly replastered and the bottom of the bath was all chipped. Around the hotel all door handles were grimy too. Upon arrival at the spa, we were told that there were no padlocks left for the lockers but could leave our bags in the office. Not sure how we could collect them when soaking wet from the pool. We kept them with us. There was mud on the floor, shower gel dispensers were broken. A general air of griminess was abundant which did not encourage us to use the steam rooms etc. And so to dinner. The ‘restaurant’ was a side room with the same limited menu as the bar. A burger for £20? A fish finger sandwich for £14? I don’t think so. We got a taxi into Stratford and ate out. We also chose not to eat the breakfast included in our package as we doubted the hygiene standards looking at the rest of the hotel. There was no apology for our room not being ready, which would have been acceptable should we have been able to use the spa and the hotel being clean.

Hour wait for food, coffee grounds in cup, dust, awful breakfast, broken window in room. Couldn't make drinks on menu. Overpriced average limited food menu. Then items missing from order. No play area and time in pool restricted for kids. Staff miserable and not accommodating. Have to go outside in the rain to get from hotel to spa then pay £5 to borrow a robe. The building and grounds were beautiful but the upkeep and staff bring a four star hotel down to a two.

전반적으로 조식, 시설 등 출장숙박으로 만족했지만, 골프와 스파시설을 이용하지 않는 사람으로서는 큰 메리트가 없었음. 왜냐면 내부시설은 대부분 낡았고, 방음이 잘되지는 않았음. 또한, Stratford 시내까지는 무조건 차로 3-5분 이동이 필요함. 주변에 아무것도 없음.
