杜文斯特拉特福德飯店(Hotel du Vin Stratford)

Very disappointed. Last time we stayed in a de Luxe room and as this was for a special occasion we went for a superior room.. which was not as good as de Luxe. Toilet roll holder hanging off, hole in net curtains, old bed base with sawn off head and foot boards. No drawer space, particularly on bedside tables. Very small wardrobe. Bathroom floor less than clean.. required a good mopping, particularly round the edges. The adjoining balcony was disgusting (littered with cigarette ends) hence we felt we couldn’t use ours. Apparently after talking to one of the lovely house keepers she explained that the room had also been trashed and apologised sincerely to us for the inconvenience and the disturbance through the night of them constantly slamming the door after their smoke. We were disappointed that there was no apology from management. With regard to PAID parking we travelled out on the Monday and on our return there was no spaces!! The receptionist said they couldn’t guarantee a space (even though we paid for this) and had to park precariously on a dropping off point just where other cars enter the car park.. I was not pleased with leaving a very rare car in this position. The comment from reception was “we have cctv”… this was no consolation to me. However the “shining light” of this and our last visit was the lovely, cheerful, polite and extremely efficient waitress, Mary, and the excellent breakfasts she served. We visit Stratford often but may not return to this hotel.

Got a call on our way to the hotel, for a trip to Stratford and the theatre for a special occasion, to say there had been maintenance problems and our booking had been moved to another hotel. When asked why us - I had booked in January- it was because they assumed it was a corporate booking made through ********** and would matter less. Everything turned out ok but a poor policy for ********** customers.

Jättefint hotell med stora fräscha rum. Frukost lagas på beställning. Trevlig och proffsig personal. Stor parkering bakom hotellet.

A pleasant stay again at HdV. Food good for both evening meal and breakfast. Parking is the issue here with no free parking and public parking between £13-£15 for 24 hours. Overall a good stay- Stratford being a honey pot is not a cheap place to stay these days

We enjoyed our stay, three rooms was good, one was too small, dark and small entrance to bedroom. Restaurant was so, so, could have been better serviced.

Beautifully decorated hotel, close to all sites. Parking,…. Make sure you pre-book parking with the hotel and get a parking permit, there are only 5.

I booked this stay for a surprise birthday trip for my girlfriend. It was perfect! The staff were extremely welcoming. When we got to our room they had written her a birthday message and left her a couple of chocolates. It was a lovely touch. The room was perfect, very clean, the bed was very large and extremely comfy. The location was perfect! About 10 mins walk from the station and right in the city centre. Shakespeares birthplace is about 2 mins walk. The hotel is beautiful. The hallways, the reception area, the decor is amazing. Tv worked perfectly, could connect to Netflix etc. The room has a kettle with coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc, and a radio/speaker you could connect to via Bluetooth. The food was very reasonably priced, we ordered two burgers via room service, I don’t eat meat so had the vegan option, my partner had the beef burger - both were delicious! As I’m writing this review I’m realising how perfect it was, as I really couldn’t fault it at all. L’occitane toiletries in the bathroom - hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. If you want to stay in Stratford, this is the best place. I take my girlfriend away each year for her birthday, so I always want the hotel we stay in to look nice, as this adds to the treat, due to this I looked at pretty much all available options in Stratford - this is the best choice by far. Then actually arriving, seeing the place in person, the brilliant reception staff, honestly you can’t go wrong!

Great hotel in a good location. Parking is a little disappointing - and in our room the water pressure was poor. But minor things in the scheme of things!

We had an absolutely amazing time at the hotel, extremely friendly staff, amazing room. Only small gripe, we had dinner booked on our first night and were informed that 3 of the starters were no longer available. We decided to go elsewhere for dinner due to the remaining options not being of interest. These things happen and certainly would not stop us recommending this lovely hotel
