松樹飯店(The Pines Hotel)

Room 35 above kitchen with noisy extractor fans. Kept us awake untill gone 11pm and was woken when fans came on in the morning. House keeping staff were having a meeting outside our room at 0830. Not very professional. One good point was that the reception staff were very good. Still waiting for the toast we orderd for breakfast.

The Pines Hotel is situated in a great position, overlooking the sea. On first appearance - the main entrance of the hotel looks rather tired. I understand there is work in process to freshen up the rooms, but our room needed some TLC. On a positive note, we booked a sea view room which did not disappoint. Was truly wonderful hearing and seeing the sea and watching as weather rolled in and out during our stay. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and everywhere was clean. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night of our stay - the food was lovely and looked and tasted great, however, we were surprised at how high prices were. Would have loved to say our stay was excellent, and I’m sure once all the redecorating is complete, the Pines Hotel will be truly special. Just not there, yet.

Sadly a very disappointing stay. The first room the window would not close and the room was freezing. Moved next door to another room. Not such a nice view but windows that did their job. Room still cold so turned radiator thermostat up, only to find nothing happened. After another trip to reception was given a plug in radiator to use as the heating was on a timer. This was now after 5pm. What time does heating come on. We actually wanted to leave at this point. We were cold and fed up. Had to book a time slot for a buffet breakfast. Just weird.

Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location for walking to Old Harry and Studland. 20 minute walk to Swanage centre for pubs, etc. Great views over the bay and private access to a small peaceful beach. Adequate parking available and included in the price. Excellent breakfast. Good evening meal menu and service with good value, excellent quality main courses and good quality but rather overpriced starters and desserts. Having spent a few days in Swanage for our visit, we didn’t spot anywhere better and are very happy with our choice of the Pines Hotel.

This stay was just what we needed as unable to have a holiday for three years, this hotel is situated in a lovely position and only a ten minute drive to Studland, our room faced the sea and was lulled to sleep at night by the sound of the waves. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast was excellent so much so we never needed lunch! Would definitely recommend and come again.

A great hotel, good location, friendly helpful staff, great food one of the best breakfast's we have had! But avoid Room 35 it was next to the extractor fan from the kitchen it was noisy and if we opened the windows we got a room full of hot smelly food! Hotel was full so couldn't change rooms! That said we would visit again but avoiding room 35.

Had a great stay room food and gardens all great. Had booked two single rooms to take my 90 year old dad to the seaside and my dog could come too. Dad was in ground floor room 11 which was fine and had handrails so her could shower. Couple of steps down which he could manage. My room no 42 had a sea view but very nice shower room not in suite. Charlie my cavapoo came too which was fine as it was sunny but dogs are not allowed inthe bar area which was a bit of an issue after sundown as dad feels the cold. Great access to dog friendly beach for morning walkies down 144 steps need to be fit!! Would love to return but being a able to have a dog in the bar area would put me off in the winter.

we had a very pleasant 2 day break the staff were very pleasant and the room had a nice view across to corfe castle in the distance had a very good breakfast and enjoyed our two evening meals as well location to the town is just a 10min walk and the location is very close to studland which you can catch a open topped bus no 50 which goes every 1/2 hr to studland /sandbanks/bourne mouth well worth a trip

Great stay in a Seaview room Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast and dinner one night if our stay really good quality. Group of 10 celebrating and the hotel was very accommodating
