弗朗西斯肯河邊旅館(Franciscan Lodge)

We came up for a Girls Trip and We loved our little one bedroom apartment, it didn't feel like a hotel room at all! The lake being right there is a huge bonus, The pool was closed but didn't matter to me cuz the Lake is so refreshing. I definitely recommend this Place to stay. I will be coming back soon.

Heated pool was closed for repair. Stove/oven did not work.( was told this 45 min prior to arrival. Never disclosed pool was not working) Bathroom fan was not working. Smelled musty, had to open windows. Bathroom window does not lock. They can’t even give this unit TLC and put a battery in the wall clock so it works.

Enjoyed out stay in our own unit at this lodge. Customer service great, managerwas v Brian was very helpful and informative about the complex. We will be returning with more of our family next time. Nice to have beach access, close to food, etc. It felt old school Tahoe, drive up motel. Nice facility, clean.

We booked a single cottage on the beach by water. When arrived told we have a unit sandwiched between two other units across the street from the beachfront unit. We showed FFE our confirmation info of the “single cottage” and pictures advertised by the shore. Nothing suggested the unit was part of a train of units across the street. FFE told us things like this happen with ******* and other sites they go through. Sad, but not our problem. We ask what other units are available and they offer no help and inform us almost half their other units are managed through AirBnB. Again, nothing to with what we reserved. False advertising by both Franciscan Lakeside Lodge and *******. We cancelled with FFE and they explain we need to go through *******. To be continued…

******* misrepresented this property on their website! What was stated as a "Lakeside" room vs. a "Mountainside" room, with a premium cost was in fact a "Parking Lot Side" room. To be fare, the staff was great!, the property was clean, but not necessarily what the photos/wording implied regarding the view.

We checked in & got a dirty room. Once we got to room they were not as clean as expected. Also there is no A/C.

Was going to stay five nights but cut my trip short to three nights because the cottage was very dirty and hot. There is no air conditioning and I couldn’t use the fan because the fan was so dirty! Liked the location and the proximity to North Tahoe Regional Park though. The oven didn’t work and the fridge was too cold and froze/ruined some of my food. The carpets were stained.

Check in after hours was challenging. Made recommendations onsite. Carpet needs thorough cleaning. Sofa sleeper in living room uncomfortable to sit on and covers would benefit from cleaning. Service staff was excellent. Location with easy lake access a plus.
