坦帕西海岸臻品之選飯店(The Westshore Grand, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Tampa)

Ok

This was a very quick overnight stay, but we were very happy with it. The check-in staff were pleasant (there was a bit of a mixup with what they had in the computer versus what we booked through Orbitz, but I just had to show my confirmation for everything to be taken care of). Parking was pretty easy with a garage (it's $14 per night, which is a bit steep, but with getting a great rate on the room, we were able to justify it). The only odd thing with parking is that the entrance from the garage to the hotel goes to the 2nd floor, so you have to walk past rooms to get to the elevator. Not a big issue, but I wouldn't want to be staying on the 2nd floor with so much increased foot traffic. The bar looked to be busy and lively, but we decided to walk to the nearby Mexican restaurant for dinner instead (very good food). There is a Publix right next door, which is super convenient. We did use the gym facilities, and they were adequate and about what you would expect in a business hotel. We opted to book with breakfast for the next morning. The staff in the restaurant were incredible, meeting needs before we ever had them. Service was incredibly fast. We were there on a day that they have a buffet, so we opted for that. While I think it's overpriced if you're paying the menu price, with booking it as a package for our room, it was a fair price. The food was very good, and I like the you can order eggs to order with buffet.

The checkin process was weird. The front desk clerk did not give us any information upon check in, in fact, she hardly spoke to us. The room was extremely dated and the carpet had multiple stains. I drew a bath and there was black grit in the bottom of the tub. There seemed to be low occupancy the night of our stay but yet the front desk clerk gave us our two reserved rooms near the elevator even though I requested to NOT be by the elevator due to increased noise levels. Other than good service at the hotel bar, our visit was extremely disappointing. I emailed the hotel with this same info about our stay and received a generic reply from some level of management.

Everything about it is nice, staffs are great, convenient location but somewhat outdated. A few features in the room have issues like the toilet tank especially the refill function is not working properly most of the time, a few drawers where the TV sits on are not closed properly. Overall the room could use some kind of renovation.

It's a fine hotel. Nothing special. The male bartender is incredibly rude. He clearly shouldn't be working in a customer service role. Someone randomly walked in to our room while my husband was getting dressed - the door was locked so the staff member had a key - with towels that we didn’t ask for. A bit sketchy if you ask me. Rooms were comfortable. Gym was average. Disappointing that nothing in the area is open past 11pm, not the hotel's fault but something to consider when booking. Probably wouldn’t choose this hotel again since there are so many in the area to choose from.

Short stay. Late flight so the shuttle was just ending (luggage arrived and called for shuttle at 10:57,) so i paid $35 for a 6 mn Uber ride). Yuck. Otherwise bed was comfortable and room was nicely appointed. Staff was friendly. Thank you

This is a beautiful, modern hotel with all the conveniences you want. Very convenient parking, nearby restaurants and shops, nice bar and many amenities. Some costs were a little high, but it is a top hotel. I was surprised how reasonably priced it was. My only real complaint is how thin the walls seemed. We could hear almost every word from people next door and in the hall.

The hotel is pretty dated. Bathroom was pretty small. The toilet was struggling to flush and I had to call maintenance. There also wasn’t very many outlets to plug in chargers. The maid service was fine. They made the room look nice. Given what I paid and my expectation for Marriott hotels should I return to Tampa I would opt to stay elsewhere.

Staff was very friendly & welcoming. The quality of the breakfast food was excellent, and the staff was great! Beds were also super comfortable. Would recommend and would stay again!
