Ein toll gelegenes neues Boutiquehotel. Alles sehr modern mit einem traditionellen touch und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Bekamen ein upgrade wow wow. Essen gut. Frühstück ebenfalls. Das Spa klein aber Massage himmlisch gut. Uns hat alles dort gefallen. Das nachts die Hunde wie überall bellen dafür kann das Hotel nichts.

The Pema was a wonderful experience. Service was excellent, from the reception welcome tea, housekeeping, restaurant to checkout. Professional and seamless. Decor was warm and cozy, high quality. Excellent food, kudos to the chef! Great experience, we miss it!

Spotless room, extremely comfortable bed and amazing shower. The staff were extremely accommodating. Breakfast menu was plentiful. Will definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

A touch of luxury arriving in Bhutan! Lovely large room with courtesy fruit and treats and everything required to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. There is a spa in the basement, which I didn't have time to use, but I particularly loved the rooftop terrace area with bar and snack facilities open to the sunshine. I ate in the bistro cafe rather than the dining hall - small, friendly and quirky with a good menu choice for myself, a vegetarian, and a relaxing place to take breakfast with an outside area. I would certainly recommend to fellow travellers to Thimpu.

We arrived well before our check-in time at the hotel after early morning flight. On the way from Paro Airport our guide informed them about our early arrival and they were very welcoming. They informed us the room booked for us by our travel agent was yet to be free so they made special arrangement for us and gave a temporary different room so my son could sleep and relax after a long journey. Once we woke up our room was ready and we shifted in our room. This hotel is located on a hill overlooking the Thimphu city. Taxis are easily available to visit the town centre and back. Breakfast spread is good. Somedays they have buffet breakfast and some days u can order your choice from their menu. Room service is very efficient and quick. Overall a pleasant stay experience.

My husband and I lived in Thimphu for more than three years, and The Pema was one of our favourite places - if not our one favourite place - to go for dinner or a Sunday afternoon coffee. The Pema has a great choice of delicious, not too sweet pastry (we can especially recommend the options based on chocolate). For dinner, we mostly went for Indian food. It might be a bit pricier than elsewhere, but you get the best Naan in town and Dosa on Thursdays and Sundays. Or we had the salads - maybe only the ones at Mountain Café and Your Café in Paro are better. Food quality in Bhutan is hardly ever consistent, The Pema, however, is a positive exception, at least most of the time ;-) There are some tables to sit outside and the nice, if sometimes windy, rooftop terrace usually opens at 1 pm. They also offer an outstanding home delivery service. Staff at The Pema is well-trained and very attentive - a rare treat in a "regular" (meaning, not five-star) establishment in Bhutan. But the disruptions in the tourism and hotel industry and people leaving for greener (Australian) pastures also impacted The Pema: we noticed quite some familiar faces gone and inexperienced, less confident staff replacing them. But we are sure that as long as the dedicated and highly-professional F&B Manager Bishnu stays, they will quickly be brought up to The Pema's standards. And, I also wouldn't want forget mentioning their wonderful hotel rooms and Spa - which we haven't tried for ourselves but heard a lot of very good things about. So, all in all, if you are in Thimphu, you definitely shouldn't miss stopping by this place - be it for a meal or just a coffee, or maybe even to stay for the night.

Perfect place A very good clean and nice hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is brilliant the chef was ready to fix the food with less spices according to my request and the food was delicious best I had in long time. There is a coffee shop at the hotel by the number of locals who come to buy cakes there I think it is the busiest in Bhutan. Breakfast is served in that coffee shop but takes a long time to be served. Except to that it is a perfect place.

This is a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and treated us with kindness. The hotel has a modern design while also incorporating the lovely Bhutanese culture. They have a delicious restaurant and a great cafe. I also took advantage for a spa treatment which truly had me pampered.
