Lovely place to stay, staff really friendly, polite and nothing is to much trouble, menu and food was excellent, 4 hour drive home and insisted that we took saus, bacon and egg rolls with us for the journey, cant wait to stay there again.

I stayed here before with no complaints, however, I booked a table for dinner and was rushed through, with my starter being served within 5 minutes of order, and the main course as soon as I finished the starter.
I had sausages and mash for main, which was disappointing (plain mash, when mustard mash was on the menu, sausages which appeaered to be undercooked, and very salty gravy). When I bought my dis satisfaction to the attantion of the server, I was just told ' sorry about that' and then nothing more.
I would definetley stay again for the great rooms, but would eat elswhere in the future.

A lovely eccentric pub in a central location. We stayed in a deluxe room which as lovely and had lots of different little accessories which made it special. The outdoor igloo's were amazing where we had drinks and the food was also excellent. Overall a great one night stay which was good value for money

Amazing from start to finish. Lovely room, the service was faultless and the food delicious. The manager was amazing and looked after us so well. Highly recommended.

Excellent place to stop over as was on business nice to have had a dolce gusto machine in the room, food was excellent and my only gripe would be that a desk and chair in the room would have been useful but toom not big enough to hold

Very comfortable room. Quite cobwebby a few daddy longlegs and insects around the place, but apart from that it was very nice. We didn't eat there so I can't comment on food and drink, but all staff were very friendly when they dealt with us.

Lovely warm a welcoming pub with good selection of food and drink. The room and en-suite were very generously proportioned and the decoration was excellent. A few cobwebs had been missed that didn’t negatively impact on our stay.
