SU29精品飯店(SU29 Boutique Hotel)

A great small boutique hotel on a quiet street. A renovated old townhouse with just a handful of bedrooms. Very spacious room. We had a twin bedded room (2 doubles). Great breakfast - a varied selection of both cooked foods, pastries, fruit, yoghurts and savouries.

Excellent/wonderful check-in young lady, she was just great. 19 Euro taxi ride from the airport, 30 Euro from hotel back to Airport. Great location, walk to all sites. Great A/C. Great Hot water. Very new and update room and bathroom. Very quiet location. Excellent breakfast. Excellent service. Refrigerator was worthless and never cold. Very nice private patio. Nice quality bed linens. Room was very tiny, however very clean. Daniel- USA

Muy buena opción de alojamiento en La Valeta; ubicación inmejorable, excelente servicio y atención del personal. Si bien nuestra habitación no tenía buena ventilación ni luz natural (solo una ventana que daba a un patio interno o pulmón del edificio) estuvimos cómodos. El desayuno muy bien!

One of the best locations , you do have some stairs to climb to get to the hotel , the usual ( old European city) style ! Wifi not great , so don’t depend on that. They have a lift that services 5 floors , if your room is on then6th you’ll need to walk up two flights . They had a power outage , that shorted the aircon , so it was really hot until that was fixed ! And the water pressure was non existent , they advised also due to the power outage . Lovely staff who seemed to work tirelessly to fix minor issues, just small things that keep happening …. If you can choose the junior terrace suite !

Nous y avons passé une semaine au mois d’octobre. Merci beaucoup à toute l’équipe du SU 29 pour leurs sourires, leur gentillesse et leur professionnalisme. L’hotel est idéalement placé dans une petite rue tranquille à La Valette, à quelques minutes de l’Upper Baraka garden, des restaurants et de la gare routière ce qui nous a permis de circuler dans toute l’île sans réserver de voiture. Machine à café ( style nespresso )sucre, sachets de thé et de tisane, bouilloire, réfrigérateur et bar dans la chambre. Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux et copieux, la chambre très grande et la literie très confortable. Ce sont eux qui ont réservé pour nous le taxi pour le retour vers l’aéroport pour un départ très matinal ( l’avion était à 6h50 et le taxi était là à 4h30). Merci encore à tous

No hot water for showering. I was told to wait until the tank filled up but had to leave for a flight. Don’t stay here if you don’t lik cold showers.

The reason I am rating this lower is for one thing: not enough hot water for more than a 2 minute shower. Seriously. I timed it. I even woke up one morning at 4:30 AM, thinking I would beat everyone else. Nope. This is a developed country in Europe, there is no excuse for insufficient hot water. Minor complaint: The shower grout was filled with black stuff that was either mold or missing grout. I wasn't getting close enough to find out. Internet speed was around 20, but it would randomly shut off at least once a day. Would be a pain if you were in a work meeting. Hotel itself is in a good location. You're within a 5-10 minute walk of great restaurants. Also 8-10 minutes from the bus station. Bed was OK. There was only one pillow and it wasn't that soft. Towels were usually slightly damp, likely from hang drying. They were big though. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion provided but they are teeny tiny bottles. Breakfast was good. Selection of hot and cold food. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always helpful!! I want to move up to a 3.5/5 just for the staff.
