日落套房飯店(Sonder the Sunset)

Très propre. Parfait pour un pied à terre près de tout dans un rayon de 20-30 minutes de marche. Super quartier. Seul bémol : il n’y a pas toujours quelqu’un au front desk mais le personnel est très gentil.

The service and hospitality when we first got there was so friendly and welcoming. We were early to check in but wanted to go and fill out the paperwork and leave our bags. But then we suddenly had the opportunity to check in right away and they upgraded our room for free. The room was amazing, we were only there for one night but if I'm in Vancouver again for a week or longer I'll gladly stay at this hotel again, the amenities are fantastic for longer stays. And the breakfast service was fast and delicious. Highly recommend and will stay again.

So the hotel has got everything going for it: location, clean and comfortable rooms with all amenities, hot breakfast included, everything is top notch. But, placards at the reception and in the rooms, their language leave you with impression that Nurse Ratched from "One Flew of The Cuckoo's Nest" is running the place. I understand that there are guests that don't behave and don't follow the rules, but this kind of wording is over the line and makes guests feel uncomfortable, so I'm taking one star off just for that. This is not how a hospitality business should communicate with customers.

Appreciate hotel offers a good breakfast to take back to room even though it does not have a dining area. Our King Suite was nice, more space than we needed. AC unit was quiet. Kitchen well stocked and even provided dish detergent and a scrub sponge. Oh, hotel also provided robes and slippers - nice touch. Downtown Vancouver is relatively small, so we can walk from one end of Vancouver back to the hotel within 40 minutes or so while sightseeing along the way such as along Davie St. or Robson. One travel note: We read a pamphlet promoting Chinatown. Don't go. Hardly any business there and area is surrounded by homeless folks, so end the sightseeing at Gastown. Our highlight was biking the waterfront and there is a lot of waterfront!
