Location was perfect for me. I had a conference in the convention center and the hotel was few blocks to the venue. It was also located conveniently close to the subway stations, Canada Line and Expo Line. I could also say it is close to the shopping areas of the downtown.
I knew the room was going to be small but at least there should have been some drawers to store daily underwear and stuff. I had to use the safe for all my small stuff, medication, laptop, chargers, etc. and kept my other stuff in my luggage.
Keurig coffee machine is a plus. Throwiing in the American style breakfast is also nice.
If you want an inexpensive place to stay in such a location, I guess it is good and one can overlook the details.
However, there was some kind of construction/renovation going on and there was quite a bit of noise.
Oh, if you book a standard room. it is most likely that you would get a room effectively with no window (there is a window but it looks to the wall accross.
One last point about the hotel sign. There is a Days Inn sign in front but it is not lighted and when you are walking by, it is easy to miss during night, which happened to me. Visibility of the hotel entrance is not good and it is easy to miss the front gate.
Hotel employees were very friendly and helpful.
I guess, I can say that if you catch a good deal, it would be worth the money you spent.
