I had to switch rooms because the first one I had was terribly noisy: there were bizarrely loud, random noises coming from the roof, and the heating system produces a terribly annoying throbbing sound.
When I went to the front desk to request a room change, there was no apology for the inconvenience, which surprised me. It's not like I was being picky; the room was stupidly noisy.
I was moved to another room on a lower floor. The throbbing noise from the heating was much less but still present and bothersome.
The hotel overall is beautiful, very clean, and the staff, with that one exception, are very friendly and helpful. It's a shame about the HVAC noise. I'd happily stay again but unfortunately that incessant droning hum from the heating is way too annoying.
For me, a good night's sleep is the most important part of a hotel stay and it was impossible for me to sleep properly with that noise.
