Rainy morning on 8/8/23 caused mayhem at hotel. Water pouring out of breakfast area ceiling. They had to close breakfast down. And the parking garage below the hotel was flooded. Had to walk through 6 inches of water to get to our car. Just ridiculous. It rained moderately for an hour. I would hate to see what happens to this place during an all day rain event. Stay away.

I booked 5 rooms at the hotel and each one of us had a horrible experience and yet different. One room - the toilet was dirty and stained. Housekeeping had to be called multiple times prior to it being cleaned properly. One guest asked during breakfast for regular tea - not decaffeinated. The front desk person, server and manager all said they had no regular tea. The next day a different breakfast server was there and the tea was out. The guest thanked the server for getting the tea. The server commented that they always had it and it was in a cabinet that the others were too lazy to look including the manager who was just trying to sshhh the guest. One guest’s room was not ready upon arrival after the day before getting confirmation that she would be able to check in upon arrival. And the final guest wanted to change the reservation to add a day. According to the front desk the general manager was going to call to arrange for the extra night. The general manager never reached out even after speaking to the front desk multiple times and the manager. The guest opted to switch hotels and not stay the extra night - the Hampton Inns loss. The other guest ran out of tissues (there was only 1 tissue in the box upon check-in). The front desk said nobody was able to bring up tissues and guest should come downstairs to get it. The customer service at the hotel was horrible. Run away from this hotel. Not to mention the fire alarm went off at 7:30am.

I was in town to run 2023 Boston Marathon on April 17. King-bed room with nice desk, good closet space, bag stand was clean, pleasant, comfortable, quiet with nice view of ****nal St. Big widescreen TV I never used. No smoke odor. Shower pressure great. Climate control, WiFi fine. Zero noise issues. Included breakfast above average for a hotel with eggs, home fries, hotel waffle machines, pastries. Not as good as most restaurant breakfasts. 2nd-fl lobby, breakfast eating area - great natural lighting, outdoor patio. Desk staff super friendly. Held my Amazon delivery. Bag storage available. Minimal wait to check in/check out. Elevators fast. Hotel is in outdoor mall near Target/Best Buy. But can be 40 to 70 minutes by bus/subway to Back Bay to attend marathon events, catch bus to start in Hopkinton. Expect 70-90 min trip from airport on bus/subway during rush hour. You can take once-per-roughly 20 minute 70 bus to Central Square (bus stop close to hotel) to catch 1 bus, Red Line train. Taking bus from Central Sq in Cambridge back to hotel late at night at dark bus stop can feel creepy. Bus much less frequent then. Nobody at bus stop harassed me. Uber will take 20 to 25 min to Back Bay. Can cost $20 to $40 each way depending on surge pricing. Hotel rate booked year before was awesome. 2024 Boston Marathon weekend rates much higher. Very minor issue: found shampoo dispensing container lying on bathroom floor when I first entered room. I HIGHLY recommend if rate is reasonable.

A very new property in a great location, with convenient parking (a huge plus in the Boston market) in a small entertainment and shopping district. Would absolutely stay here again.
