Today has been the second time we have gone to the restaurant. The first time was one and a half month ago, my wife and I ate on the terrace. We looked at other people eating in the companion of their dogs. Today, we brought our dogs for a walk in the town and we came back to the terrace of that restaurant, thinking that it was pet-friendly. There was only a couple eating there, but nobody of the personal was aware of us, so we sat down and we were waiting for almost 10 minutes when the waitress arrived. To our surprise the first thing she said was that the dogs were not allowed. Before leaving, we recommended them to put a sign of not allowed dogs, have a better service for the customers and being more fair and clear with their admittance's policies. In addition, in our opinion the food was very regular and specially the Connemara smoked salmon was nothing like remarkable as It could be for a very expensive dish, I would even say that was very similar to any packed smoked salmon that you can buy in the supermarket

Accueil parfait.. Le patron est très aimable et attentif. Nous avons eu droit à un service de lessive. Breakfast en buffet varié et bon. Le restaurant-pub à côté propose de bon plats. La chambre spacieuse avec un très grand lit, la salle de bain avec douche et baignoire ont fait de notre séjour un des meilleurs de notre voyage. Excellent

Cong is a quaint little town, according to the desk staff, they have a population of about 40. It is an island in the river. The food in the pub next to the hotel is excellent. The morning breakfast was very good. The people were great. There are a number of attractions close at hand. I spent most of my time and money buying woolens in a shop just down the street. Seventy some years ago "The Quiet Man" was filmed here and it ties into a number of the attractions. If you fish, this is the place.

We visited for one night on Easter weekend. The check-in process was nice and easy. Plenty of parking at the property. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is a good pub on site with sports on tv and food served until late evening. Coming from Dublin the prices in the pub were very affordable. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Tea and coffee available in the rooms. The beds very big and comfy too. The bathrooms modern and clean. One of the rooms had no window, which took me by surprise, but for one night stay it made no difference to me. There is a bit of natural light coming in through the bathroom door but for a longer stay I would definitely look for a room with a window. The other room had a lovely view of the village. But both rooms were cosy and warm. Breakfast was good with full Irish fare in a form of buffet plus cereal, juices and coffee served by friendly staff. All in all we enjoyed our stay in beautiful Cong village.

Stayed two nights. Room was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. Staff were very friendly. Food in restaurant was tasty and affordable.
