木板道自助式旅館(Boardwalk Lodge – Self-Catering)

Nicht ganz so einfach zu finden liegt die Boardwalk Lodge in Wilderness. Beim Check Inn bekommt man einen Schlüssel und einen Sensor für die Schranke (allein auf diesem Sensor ist alles abgegrabbelt), damit man sein Auto auf dem Parkplatz parken kann. Die Zimmer sind süss eingerichtet. Hier könnte man jedoch einmal etwas renovieren, diese sind schon langsam in die Jahre gekommen. Beim Frühstück wartet man fast eine Std., bis man alles erhalten hat. Das muss (vor allem, wenn Frühstück zwischen 8 Uhr und 10 Uhr ist und man um 10 Uhr auschecken muss, deutlich schneller gehen). Was auch nicht klar kommuniziert worden ist, dass man sich bei bereits im Vorfeld gebuchten Frühstücks nur 1 Item aussuchen kann. Alles andere kostet extra. Auch Café. Da ist auch nur einer enthalten. Beim Saft sieht es ähnlich ist, wenn in dem Item überhaupt einer enthalten ist. Die Mülleimer werden nicht täglich geleert, die Milch für Cafe im Kühlschrank wird auch nicht nachgefüllt. Positiv möchte ich allerdings anmerken: Beim Check Out hat man uns gefragt, ob man von Seiten der Lodge etwas verbessern kann. Man möchte ja gerne lernen. Wow, das gibt es selten. Die Luft nach oben ist möglich, man muss es nur zulassen und den Weg gehen. ich würde mich freuen für euch.

The Garden Route in South Africa's Western Cape is certainly one of the most beautiful regions in a country that is not short of wonderful landscapes. And Wilderness is one of the most beautiful places there. If your trip takes you there, then we can definitely recommend the Boardwalk Lodge for an overnight stay. Situated in a slightly elevated position and just a few minutes' walk from the beach, the rooms are individual cottages nestled in the greenery like chalets. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. All important areas, such as the charming breakfast room, can be reached via wooden stairs. The two owners, Chris and Melissa, have created a real gem in one of the most beautiful places in South Africa. And there's no doubt that we'll be returning here on our next visit to Wilderness. Very friendly and very helpful host! We enjoyed to stay there so much and hope to come back! The way to the beach is easy and short. Maybe 15 minutes to walk. In wilderness are lots of restaurants and lots of nature activities to do!

Melissa and her team ensured that we had a wonderful stay at her B&B. The location was great and just a few minutes from the beach and the lagoon. Its also walking distance to some very nice restaurants. The rooms have everything you need and in great condition. We will definitely come again!

Melissa, her staff and the lodge are perfect. We have felt so welcome and our room was great. The views are beautiful and it is just a short walk to and from the center (with nice restaurants) and the beach. Breakfast is very nice and the onsite pool was great to hang out on quiet afternoons. We would definately come back to Wilderness and the Boardwalk Lodge!

On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Chris and Melissa. They were so helpful, not only with our luggage but also recommending activities in the area. Breakfast was lovely to start the day with. Not only the rooms were spacious and comfortable, we could also enjoy the magnificent views from the café's deck. To our great surprise, we got lucky and even managed to see a visiting small antelope that Melissa discovered in the bush and pointed out to us. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and recommend staying here to anyone looking for an accommodation in and around Wilderness.

We decided spontaneously to stay in Wilderness and found a little paradise. Broadway Lodge is in a wonderful location on the hill, features beautiful rooms and views and has exceptionally friendly hosts.

Great furnished apartment in a great location, 5 minutes walk to restaurants and shops. Clean pool and breakfast buffet overlooking the sea. Excellent service, we received great tips on restaurants and trips. We would book the accommodation directly again.
