Set in a beautiful garden setting on high ground overlooking sea. Old colonial style architecture. Rooms are basic but have no kettle in the room. Toiletries, mosquito nets, excellent WiFi. Lovely staff. Great big breakfast and excellent coffee. No pool. Beach is long way downhill surrounded by mangrove. Need to walk some distance Shops and main road for transport nearby. Airport 4 kilometres, a Taxis costs 20000 Tsh. The number 506 dala dala goes into Stone Town from Mimi cafe.. Would definitely stay again

Absolutely great service and friendly staff

Hôtel très beau ayant conservé tout le cachet de la bâtisse originale. Il possèdr une vue exceptionnelle sur un jardin incroyable qui surplombe la mer. Idéalement placé pour visiter Stone Town/ Zanzibar City. Nous y avons séjourné deux nuits avant de quitter l'île et profiter de la ville. Le restaurant est très bon, peu chère et le service au petit soin. Je recommande vivement.

- Amazing building and gardens overlooking the sea (west coast), you can’t believe you’re staying somewhere so beautiful for that price. Unbelievable sunsets! - Staff are so friendly - particularly Richard (front of house), Catherine the chef, and Joel the Masai guard - Service is brilliant - they will take in your bags for you and do all they can to help you - We stayed one night after a late flight from the mainland as it was close to the airport - great location and meant we didn’t need to drive into Stone Town which is not fun to drive in - Free and secure parking - WiFi - Incredible breakfast which is included (!) - So cheap for the level of service you get - We liked it so much that we decided to come here for dinner on our last day in Zanzibar which was delicious - The car we had rented broke down outside the gates, blocking the driveway. About six staff members all came to help us push the car up the hill and out of the way, which was so kind. The manager also called our car rental company for us to ask them to come and fix our car. While we waited, they gave us a welcome juice drink and took in our bags. They are amazing. Only cons are that the bathrooms are a bit tired and could do with updating - though for the price you wouldn’t expect much better! There’s also no air con but I didn’t get too hot.

Very nice Hotel. We were greeted by the friendly and helpful manager and brought to our room. The room was very clean ( the cleanest room we encountered on Zanzibar), the bed very comfortable. The only thing that could´ve been better is the bathroom, as the shower cubicle has seen better days. Otherwise our stay was perfect. The breakfast was amazing!

We spent 5 glorious nights here. The hotel and gardens are beautiful, it’s an oasis of peace and tranquillity. The staff are incredibly happy and professional and we will definitely return. Everywhere was clean and had everything we needed. Such a charming hotel!

El hotel es muy lindo. Tiene una vista hacia el océano, enmarcada por la vegetación que es una delicia. El desayuno es de lo mejor del hotel. Nos tocó una habitación amplia pero con muchas camas por lo tanto era algo incómodo para circular porque no quedaba mucho espacio. De todos modos las camas son comodísimas. El baño podría haber estado mejor: la ducha no tiene cortina por lo tanto se moja todo al bañ**** lo que puede resultar peligroso porque la baldosa es resbaladiza. Pero nada muy grave. Si bien no hay aire acondicionado, el ventilador estaba bien. Tiene salida a una playa pero no es agradable, está bastante sucia y no es apta para bañistas. Para entrar al mar hay que caminar bastante. No tiene pileta. El personal fue muy amable con nosotros, en especial Hawa, la encargada. Todos nos atendieron predispuestos y con una sonrisa. Tuvimos un altercado con una persona que nos alquiló un auto. Obtuvimos su contacto a través del hotel, y si bien no volvimos a verlo, Hawa nos ayudó y fue muy servicial.
