The Byzantine Museum of Culture is located in Thessaloniki. Until 2004, eleven exhibition halls of the museum were gradually opened. In 2005, the museum was named "Best Museum" by the European Commission. The theme of the first exhibition is "Early Christian Church", focusing mainly on the church buildings and decorations of the first centuries of Christianity.
