Tongji Bridge is located on the Yaojiang River in the center of Yuyao City, also known as Shunjiang Bridge. It has the reputation of "the first bridge in eastern Zhejiang". A city and a bridge, the Tongji Bridge is now rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty, and the monument "the sea is moored and the sails are puzzled" still exists today.

Tongji Bridge and Shunjiang Tower are two well-preserved ancient buildings in Yuyao City. They are adjacent to each other and are closely related to each other. Tongji Bridge was built in the Qingli period of the Northern Song Dynasty. It was originally a wooden bridge named Dehui Bridge and later renamed Hongqiao Bridge. It was repeatedly destroyed.

A city and a bridge. Thousands of hours, thousands of years to the waves of the river alone, a song of Huilan Flying Rainbow, two cities sleeping in the rain and smoke Changhong. At that time, it was a rainbow bridge connecting the ancient city of Yuyao to the north and south. Now, it is called the first bridge in eastern Zhejiang because it is the longest and tallest three-hole bridge on the Yao River. The north of the bridge is a busy commercial street. And the two ancient city walls, there is only a little bit of Shunjiang downstairs.
